Cecilia Venosta-Wiygul
ADVISORY COUNCIL MEMBER

Cecilia Venosta-Wiygul is Center for the Women of New York President. She has been a volunteer for the organization since 2016. Cecilia studied Psychology at the Harvard Extension School and is a Legal, Community, and Medical Spanish-English Interpreter and Translator from Argentina.

Since Cecilia arrived in the United States in 2001, she has volunteered for several non-profit organizations advocating for children and women’s rights, education, and the environment. She is currently the president of her three daughters’ elementary school PTA, educational district 26 representative at Chancellor Parent Advisory Council, an immigrant child advocate at the Young Center, a board member at the Douglaston Civic Association, and the Udalls Cove Preservation Committee.

Cecilia, together with the CWNY team, supports, empowers, and advocates for women who face financial, housing, food insecurity, health, violence, social, emotional, or legal problems; and helps them by understanding their needs and connecting them with the CWNY services, nonprofit partner organizations, and city agencies they need to overcome their challenges and reach their maximum potential.

Felicia’s Promise works to provide technical and non-technical resources and training to prepare young women on STEAM career paths with communication, entrepreneurship, leadership, and other necessary skills that the organization deems necessary to uphold its mission.
