Dr. Tracy Durrah, has been involved in all aspects of evidence-based program management, regulatory compliance, budget administration, planning, development, implementation and continuous evaluation in academic, non-profit, community-based environments as well as in the private sector.Â
Her work addresses a wide range of public health issues; most focused on people of color and other underserved communities such as chronically homeless, incarcerated adults and people with persistent physical and mental health needs. She is devoted to helping girls and young women of color understand the impact of setting our own research agenda, advocacy and its impact on health policy.Â
Dr. Durrah is the former Director of Tobacco Control Policy for NYC. She was also a faculty member of the Mailman School of Public Health as well as New York Medical College. Dr. Durrah has an MPH in Health Policy & Management and a DrPH is in Sociomedical Sciences both at the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University.
