Keturah Smith
Director of Development

Keturah is a dynamic leader in learning and development, a wellness advocate, and a lifelong believer in the power of mentorship and community. With over 15 years of experience spanning corporate training, employee engagement, and talent development, Keturah has dedicated her career to creating spaces where people feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow both personally and professionally.

Raised in a multi-generational Brooklyn household, Keturah was shaped by the stories and sacrifices of the women who came before her. Her great-grandmother gave up her own career aspirations, later expressing deep regret over the dreams she nerver pursued. Her grandmother became a registered nurse, and although her parents didn’t pursue higher education, so without much guidance, Keturah found her own way.

Along the journey, mentors, advocates, and supporters helped her envision more for herself and she ran with it. These generational threads and moments of support fuel her commitment to live boldly, chase her goals, and support others in doing the same.

Keturah holds a master’s degree in Organizational Leadership and has built a career rooted in empowerment, belonging, and growth. She believes wholeheartedly in paying it forward, and in the transformative power of taking a chance on yourself, especially when the odds feel stacked.
Now based in Philadelphia, Keturah is a proud mother of two,  a son and a daughter.

She shares her home with three cats, two turtles, and a fish. She also co-organizes a social group in New York City that curates safe, affirming spaces for connection and healing.

Keturah brings her full self to every room as a leader, a coach, a parent, a wellness enthusiast, and a community builder. She is honored to serve as keynote speaker for this event, where she’ll share her lived experience as a testament to the power of mentorship, the importance of paying it forward, and the life-changing magic of taking a chance on yourself even when the path ahead is uncertain. Her story is a reminder that success isn’t always linear, but it is possible when we’re willing to believe in our potential and
support others in discovering theirs.

Felicia’s Promise works to provide technical and non-technical resources and training to prepare young women on STEAM career paths with communication, entrepreneurship, leadership, and other necessary skills that the organization deems necessary to uphold its mission.
