Lorraine Rice Williams served as an educator in New York City Public Schools Board of Education. Although Lorraine retired from the profession in 2019, she has no plans on retiring from her area of passion, lifelong teaching, and learning.
Lorraine has been recognized at the district board level as an expert in the field of education. One who nurtures and promotes lifelong learning through example and teaching.
Lorraine completed her undergraduate studies at Benedict College and later obtained a master’s degree at Long Island University. Lorraine continues to serve as a proud member of the Brooklyn Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
In 2017, Lorraine made history as one of the first female Deacons to be ordained and recognized at Bethany Baptist Church in Brooklyn, New York. Lorraine continues to serve as a proud member of the Brooklyn Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
Lorraine’s days continue to be full of love by those dearest to her. Her love of God, her husband of 40 years, her two children, her son-in-law, and her two grandchildren inspire and motivate her to continue living, learning, succeeding, and principally serving.
